somedays the world feels fresh and new like morning air when I’m barefoot on the tarmac of the back lot, yawning as I watch my dogs amble into the expanse of wild weeds for their pee, wearing skimpy pajamas but not worried cause it’s too early for my neighbors to be up– and when I come back inside, still amazed by the sunlight through green leaves, I believe anything is possible
