My 5 year old daughter said the other day that it is really, totally unfair that the weekend only has two days. It’s so hard, you see, to pack all the fun in just two days and it was much better when it was the Queen’s Jubilee and we had 4 days of weekend. She insists that long weekends are the best and wishes that we had 4 weekends all the time… don’t worry, she will see to it, when she becomes Queen.
In the meantime, we have to make do with two day weekends and sometimes work creeps into the weekend too… but when it doesn’t it is simply spent together. In her words: Together is the best.
I couldn’t have said it any better.
